Beta Lambda Chapter Hand To Hand Food/Clothing Drive

In conjunction with other community efforts, Beta Lambda sponsors an annual food/clothing drive that seeks to help the needy in the community. This program symbolizes partnering with the community and combating the ills of poverty.

Activities

• Fundraisers --Monday Night Football Party proceeds go toward food and clothing donations.
• Food Site collections - Harvesters Barrels for food are placed in local grocery stores and the Beta Lambda Educational Foundation Building. Nearly 155 pounds of canned goods and non-perishable foods were donated to Harvesters, a local food distribution agency. Our efforts provided 103 meals for families in our community.
• Clothing Collection - conducted at the Foundation Building where they are sorted and cleaned.
• Clothing Distribution - 500 winter coats and other items of clothing were distributed to needy families identified by various social welfare agencies.
