Beta Lambda Education/Scholarships
The "Go to High School, Go to College" Program, initiated in 1929, counsels the youth on the importance of a post-secondary education. This effort continues today, as the Beta Lambda Educational Institute and the Beta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. provide a vigorous scholarship program for college-bound youth. This program focuses on assisting our young people through education, to achieve the American dream. Tutoring and counseling programs in the areas of time management, note taking, study skills and test taking were presented in 95 classes at the Central Middle School of the School District of Kansas City, Missouri.
